DJ 21 Yibin Dadipo 2nd Phase Residential Competition

Project description:  This residential competition was from the outset to be an art deco style housing development that would provide larger quality housing typologies set within luxury gardens. The complexity in this design was managing to achieve the required building index and solving the sunlight requirements.

DJ 22 Xiaguan Mixed use urban renewal 2nd Round

Project description:  We were into the final round and were briefed by jury about their understanding of what were the main elements that different groups had picked up on. The idea in the final round was to take the design further but also include aspects that were working in other schemes. As we were now much closer to winning other teams were asked to join and we submitted 2 different interpretations of my scheme.

DJ 24 Nanjing Yuhua Broadcasting Center

Project description: The center was to serve not only as a working broadcasting center for radio, but also to house the offices, the Broadcasting Library, a concert hall where Cultural events could be filmed and broadcast, as well as a commercial component related to the daily functioning of the center. Design and drawing  by Titus.

Responsibilities: Design team manager involved mainly with project deliverables and project focus.

DJ 25 T-Cell Gene Therapy Campus

Project Description: The campus is dedicated to China’s Number One Killer, Cancer. The campus includes R&D Laboratories, Hospital and treatment center, Lecture and Conference facilities, as well the accommodation for specialized staff, patients being treated and the day to day nursing and care staff.

DJ 26 Changzhou Jiaze plaza Project description: This project was part of a city development plan where by a developer was permitted to develop housing in the Jiaze historical center, but in exchange had to provide public communal areas in the form of revitalising the old city center park. DJ 27 Xian Shopping Center Façade

Project Description: This existing design had not satisfied the client and the structure was already in construction. The project was had an Art Deco style and yet the commercial facade needed a contemporary expression using traditional materials.

DJ 28 Wuxi Shopping

Project Description: The aim of the short project was to test the development potential of the site situated near a future metro exit. Urban analysis and market research was more important than the formal resolutions.

DJ 29 Daiyun Guizhou Mixed Use Development

Project Description: The site is complex due to the split created by the water and the limited access from the highway. In combination with the usual program of commercial, retail, hotel and conference the complexity required different strategies to deal with the problem.

Responsibilities: I developed a landscape solution to deal with the terrain, by creating platforms, but also using the landscape to integrate the development

DJ 30 Nanjing Urban landscape 

Project Description: As the metro cuts through the old city fabric many complex connections need to be resolved, and often this is passed on to developers in the lucrative sale of land directly over metro exits.

GFA: Date: 2013

Responsibilities: Design by other team members, my role as design team manager was mainly to oversee the design and design crits, as well as follow deadlines and drawing production.
