DJ 39 Jinning Mixed Use, Shandong province

Project description: This large mixed use project required an urban solution that could integrate residential density, the urban road network and provide an ideal setting for a themed shopping complex with office towers.

GFA: 787 000

DJ 38 Guiyang Urban regeneration

Project Description: This complex urban renewal project located in the city center required increased density yet a scaled approach to historical monuments. The project also was almost entirely inside a large parcel of land with canals and little street access.

GFA: 345 000

DJ 36 Nanning Mixed Use Complex

Project description: The site is on the periphery of the old city and is an urban generator for the areas development. Adjacent are plans for large new recreational facilities for sports and culture. This development aims to consolidate this area as a local center.

DJ 32 Deng Zhou Urban Renewal, Henan Province

Project Description: This city has grown very rapidly over the last 10 years and required to create more social and economic infrastructure. This site presently is occupied by an old factory warehouses and a large urban community living in slum conditions. The urban design incorporates government, education, healthcare and high density mass housing for this city center location.

DJ 31 Jurong Themepark shopping complex

Project description: This design was not a holistic design but just a part design for another project. The aim was to design a shopping center around an entertainment theme park. The design involved more research on precedent and constraints of such an idea.

DJ 29 Daiyun Guizhou Mixed Use Development

Project Description: The site is complex due to the split created by the water and the limited access from the highway. In combination with the usual program of commercial, retail, hotel and conference the complexity required different strategies to deal with the problem.

Responsibilities: I developed a landscape solution to deal with the terrain, by creating platforms, but also using the landscape to integrate the development

DJ 27 Xian Shopping Center Façade

Project Description: This existing design had not satisfied the client and the structure was already in construction. The project was had an Art Deco style and yet the commercial facade needed a contemporary expression using traditional materials.

DJ 20 Shandong mixed use Urban Renewal

Project description: The project is situated on a coastal resort city of Rizhao along the main boulevard. The project goal was to animate that boulevard and provide activities for holiday makers. The additional accommodation in the towers made the very complex. Two schemes were presented, the first scheme was developed later on.

Responsibilities: Design team manager involved mainly with project deliverables and project focus.

 DJ 16 Xian retail park Mixed Use Residential/Commercial/Hotel

Project description:  The client request was for a theme park with a shopping component, along with the usual housing, offices and hotel to maximize the advantage. Due to problems with site limits and proposed infrastructure the project stopped.
