Project Description:  Ponta Delgada: This project included a heritage house which had to be incorporated into the project with all the restrictions of the monuments council and health and fire departments.This 100 bed geriatric centre is complete with in-house clinic, full gymnasium and activities and service areas in compliance with regulation.

My final thesis was about Urban housing and revitalization, in the context of a post apartheid Johannesburg. On a broader level it looked at the Urban redevelopment policies, access to housing for the new South African context and the reality facing the new ANC government. On another level I tried to look at the possibilities of mixed use residential buildings in the city, with all the problems and benefits of urban dwelling. The project proposed small service industry warehouses and workshops with a school above and community center above, with housing above the school.

Description: An urban renewal project that consolidated four city blocks with the new head offices for the Absa Banking Group, incorporating two existing bank buildings.

DJ 46 ZhuJiang Industrial Park

Project Description:  Our team was invited to step into an urban design program and design bits and pieces. The design here was more at an urban design level, setting the development parameters to achieve a evenly high density development.

DJ 45 Ningbo New City Center

Project Description:  Ningbo city required a new city development but the old city was surrounded by fairly complex transport infrastructures making it difficult to extend in this direction. The key to the design was seen to be a bridge building over an 8 lane highway that would link the new development to the old city center.
