DJ 35 Zhen Jiang Urban Renewal, Jiangsu province
Project description: This city center urban renewal project was to provide various office buildings, a large shopping center, large standalone retail, as a small retail market, as well as a lot of urban housing due to the excellent city center location near social and transport infrastructures. Two basic strategies were proposed, one with a more emphasis on commercial areas, while the other with more emphasis on housing with reduced commercial areas. The different master plans required various ideas to be tested and different urban solutions for the complex and dense program.
