DJ 42 Dan Yang Art Deco Center

This project was to be the first phase in the demolition of a factory complex and reconstruction into a housing estate, as the factory complex is well located in relation to the city center and the factory had outgrown the old premises. The plan was to convert an existing building into the sales center and slowly demolish and build the housing as the factory simultaneously moves to a new location. While the initial ideas were to produce luxury housing, which is usually associated with Art Deco architecture. It became clear for developers that the cost of the phased construction needed more consideration.

Responsibilities: Our initial task was convert an old warehouse into the sales center, but as the developer was very inexperienced in property development ideas kept on shifting and eventually came to a stand still.
