Timrå Simhall

This Project and program development is in the early stages of development; however the existing municipal pool has already been closed for maintenance and upgrading. The idea was to develop a new sports precinct next to the Timrå Ice Rink and skating facilities.

  • Responsibilities: Following the regional development this design further extended the Main housing complex of the neighboring arriffes development. The design and documentationwas for the approval of 120 Apartments.

My final thesis was about Urban housing and revitalization, in the context of a post apartheid Johannesburg. On a broader level it looked at the Urban redevelopment policies, access to housing for the new South African context and the reality facing the new ANC government. On another level I tried to look at the possibilities of mixed use residential buildings in the city, with all the problems and benefits of urban dwelling. The project proposed small service industry warehouses and workshops with a school above and community center above, with housing above the school.

Roselund

This is an innovative solution to capture some of the wasted energy from the power station behind. This energy could be used to create a giant steam bath with pools a ground public area and the roof deck with views over the river. All the technical facilities will be below in the basement and connected to the powerstation.

Växjö Alterations and additions to the Existing Facilities

This bathouse has gone through various phases. Initially central as well as periphery locations were explored and tested, however this location with the renovation of the old pool complex still seems the most favourable.
