IA 8 Nanjing Healthy Industrial Complex Transformation and renewal

Project description:  This existing factory complex built in the 1960’s as part of the china-Soviet mutual assistance was at a point where all the heavy machinery had all been removed and was ready for urban renewal and restructuring. The aim of the project was to convert this warehouse complex into a green campus for small business. Various interior levels needed to be created, vertical circulation, a series of identity elements to unify and requalify the campus. Due to the scale of the project and the nature of the construction and sale of these spaces, various concepts were developed at a local individual building as well as at the overall master plan level.
